This Plant World original introduction was the first ever variegated sunflower, having enormous golden heads on tall strong stems with dappled and cream-splashed foliage. Unfortunately, only about half will have variegated foliage, so select these when they germinate. Plant in a sheltered spot for example against a wall, and feed and water well! Very few seeds collected.

For best results, seeds are sown directly into the ground where required in the spring. Alternatively, sow in late winter/early spring in gentle warmth, 15-20 degrees C. Prick out into small 3″ pots and plant in final position when the plants are established.
