Dark-green needles, a dense habit, and strong, upright branching combine to make the columnar form of Austrian Pine a superior landscape plant. Introduced by the Arnold Arboretum, where the original plant was 25′ tall and 7′ wide after 25 years, it makes an impressive vertical accent, privacy screen or tall, narrow windbreak. Easy to grow in most soil conditions. This plant will tolerate extreme weather conditions such as wind, heat and cold.
