Plant Information
(12-15” tall x 10-15” wide) Yet another stunner in the fantastic New Vintage® series of compact, drought tolerant yarrow, New Vintage® ‘Violet’ Yarrow is a beautiful compact addition to meadow gardens, flower gardens, and borders – planted for both pollinators and gardeners. Held atop ferny foliage, the flat umbels of New Vintage® ‘Violet’ Yarrow create a landing pad that attracts all manner of pollinating insects. Planted in a sunny location sheltered from strong winds, the sturdy flower stems of New Vintage® ‘Violet’ Yarrow will not require staking. The flowering heads appear in late spring and will last for several weeks. Deadheading Yarrow when the flowers begin to fade will result in a second flush of deer-resistant bloom later in the season. A great choice for a dry sunny garden, for cut flowers, and will hold its color as a dried flower as well. Yarrow plants are biological nitrogen fixers and will help to improve your soil nutrients.
